I’ve spoken at the New York Public Library, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Texas Book Festival, and other venues, including bookstores, libraries, and historic sites.

​

Presentation Topics:

​

• The First Lady of World War II - Eleanor Roosevelt and her groundbreaking journey to the Pacific Theater during World War II, plus how my passion for travel led to writing the book.

​

• Novel Destinations and Literary Travel - a fun and informative journey through literary history, featuring sites in the U.S. and abroad. I reveal little-known literary facts, share some of my travel adventures, and offer ideas for those looking to take to the road. Includes a slide show with images of author houses, museums, hotels, and other literary landmarks.

​

• Advice on general travel and traveling full-time, which I did for seven years (first in an RV across the U.S. and then backpacking around the globe).

​

• The writing journey: partnering with another author (as I did for my first two books), transitioning from short-form to long-form narrative nonfiction, and writing and research advice.
